Why is your website called TjRubley.com then?

Tj Rubley is a nickname that has just plain stuck for me. It’s just one of those silly college phenomenons that I can’t shake, even 7 years after I’ve graduated!

And who is Tj Rubley then?

Tj Rubley was an on again off again, professional football player. A Quarterback to be specific. Perhaps his most notable play in history:

Playing in his first game in almost two seasons, he was pressed into action after injuries to both Brett Favre and Ty Detmer. On third down and a foot from the Vikings’ 38, with a minute to go and the score tied 24-24, coach Mike Holmgren called a quarterback sneak. But with a safety moving up on defense, Rubley called an audible, rolled right and threw across his body into traffic. The pass was intercepted by former Packer Jeff Brady. A few plays later, as the Packers’ defense crumbled, Minnesota’s Fuad Reveiz kicked the game-winning field goal as time expired.
