Here’s something you don’t see everyday, a Renault Sport Spider For Sale in Portland, Oregon:

This is actually the second one I’ve seen in Oregon, which is pretty remarkable considering they were never imported to the states and are most certainly not street legal. But it would make a hella cool track day car!

Well apparently this guy with the m535i and the other Alpina B7 for sale is liquidating his collection out of White Salmon, Washington. Here’s his latest craigslist post for his 1979 Alpina B7 for Sale:

1979 Alpina B7 turbo coupe. Authentic Alpina car from Germany, very original numbers matching car. Polaris Silver with Alpina cloth interior and all Alpina parts as stock. Close ratio 5 speed tranny, Limited slip differntial with oil cooler upgraded to 40% lockup, full alpina suspension, turbocharged and intercooled 3.0 liter with 300 hp. Have too many cars and something needs to go to a new home. Email for more details. Thanks for looking! I might be interested in a partial trade for the following Marques (Austin Healey, MG (pre 1960), Lotus, BMW (E30 M3, 2002 or?), Shelby, Plymouth Cuda or Challenger, Triumph (Tr2, Tr3 or Tr4), Ferrari, Porsche ( 356 or 911 )

UPDATE: Doing a search on Portland Craigslist for White Salmon produces some other vehicles he’s selling:
2003 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VIII
1968 MB MGB-GTC
1988 BMW M6
I suspect there will be more, but I won’t make any new posts unless it’s an Alpina or other uber rare listing.

Before there was an M5, there was the M535i. Considered the first motorsport tuned 5 series BMW, the e12 M535i is a highly sought after model.

1981 BMW M535i. European BMW imported from Switzerland in 1997. I’m original importer to the USA and car was converted to meet EPA/DOT at that time. Original mileage 126K and I have nearly complete records from new. Car is in excellent condition and was repainted with a $4K paint job 4 years ago, stored inside since. Car sports full Alpina suspension (shocks, springs and rear anti-roll bar). Car is a true Motorsport model, only about 1400 produced in 1979-1981. Also has a Denon 10 CD changer under drivers seat and cruise control. Have too many cars and something needs to go to a new home. Email for more details. Thanks for looking!
According to the M535i SIG, this car is attractively priced at $14.5k. Be the envy of your next BMW club drive in this appreciating classic!
UPDATE: Just noticed that this car and the Alpina B7 I listed earlier are from the same owner. Maybe the right buyer could get a discount on both

This is a very special car and early Alpina’s are very scarce in this country. This one looks very sharp and original, but I think $18500 is rather optomistic.

I’m including this project car out of self indulgence really. I’ve always been fond of the e21’s and especially the euro-only six cylinder models. This one has some really hard to get parts on it already and should make for a nice project.

Hola, I’m back from the dead! Sorry for the delay in updates, but I’ve got some beauts on the way. I’m starting with this very unusual and rare Renault from Seattle Craigslist:

Extremely rare and vintage Renault with the 1565cc 108 bhp 4 cylinder Hemi engine with electronic fuel injection and 5 speed transmission. This car and parts is a steal for those in the Renault sports car circle, it is the Gordinin model with the full length electric folding sunroof and the rare aluminum (magnesium?) factory mag sport wheels. It runs and drives fine but has more wear than the 095,000 miles show; you can see the rust issues in the pics and the front suspension needs to be rebuilt but it is a complete running car and it comes with all these extra parts:
An EXTREMELY rare rear window sports louver package that matches the side quarter window slats, 1 extra folding sunroof assembly with extra motor, 3 starters, intake maniford, 2 mass air flow sensors, ECU (electronic brain box), alternator, power steering pump, rack & pinion, heater core, cooling fan assembly, L & R quarter glass, a cv joint, 2 struts, extra gear shift lever, lots of plastic signal lenses, lots of relays, etc.
The car starts fine and runs fine but doesn’t like to hot restart. The body is good and the interior has the very desirable factory Recaro seats that fit your body wonderfully. If I could find another set of these seats, I’d put them in my car! The interior is original down to the Formuling four spoke steering wheel and factory radio. I’ve included some pics for you to check out the body, interior, and extra parts. The title is a free and clear Washington state title, call before you email. Jim 206 2938500
So for those of you in the ‘Renault sports car circle’, better get cracking on this one lol!
