There’s no doubt that this is likely the nicest ‘rocco in the country. It’s owned by one of the higher-up’s at VWVortex and it’s a very well known car in that community. The pics can do most of the talking:

Paul@VWVortex’s Show Quality 1981 Scirocco S For Sale
I had a 77 Scirocco in high school, and I loved that car. I’ve always wanted another, but at $13.9k, this one is reserved for wack jobs with a much bigger dub addiction than I have. I don’t doubt that he has over $20k into the car, but you can’t sell a vehicle like this after that kind of investment. I hope someone buys it, but it won’t be overnight.

42k miles with full service history. Only mods are stereo and recent chip install. 19k is a premium, but this car should be worth it if all checks out.

2001 Ducati 748R on eBay
The Ducati 748R distinguishes itself from the regular model with a stronger engine, lighter wheels and bodywork (carbon fiber), and other go fast goodies, installed right at the factory. With only 4k miles on the clock, someone’s going to score a nice original example — save for the Arrow exhaust, which most will opt to upgrade to anyway.
UPDATE: Reserve not me at $8999

BMW e30 325is for sale on Roadfly
These aren’t so easy to find in good condition, and this one is way beyond good. And at half the current asking price of e30 M3’s, this car is definitely more than half it’s equal. Looks like a good buy to me.

Full BMW e90 M3 Review here at The Car Lounge
Concept study of a BMW M3 by BMW M GmbH, dimensions and fundamental form based on BMW 3 Series Coupé, exclusive new engineering of almost every body element, purpose-built for individualistic form and maximum sporting potential.
At the core of this concept study is an M3-typical V8 engine tuned to the high revving M concept.
Front design conveying a high performance sports car, functional execution of the front apron and engine compartment lid, a robust Powerdome and large air intakes that express the vehicle’s superior drive power, particularly voluminous air intakes for ample air supply to the engine compartment through the elimination of fog lamps, typical of M, and a front apron in a pronounced forward position that symbolises the car’s motoring spirit.
Sharply defined wheel arches, gill-shaped openings in the front side walls with an elaborate three-dimensional design typical of M cars, and chrome brackets with integrated direction indicators.Characteristic M-brand side skirts providing the side view with an energy-laden accent, visual emphasis of the rear-wheel drive and car’s wide track, 19-inch light alloy rims with the characteristic Y-spoke design, exclusive exterior mirrors with an aerodynamically optimised design.
Rear design with horizontal lines accentuating the car’s wide track, pronounced wheel orientation as a symbol of its powerful stance, rear diffuser that mirrors design elements of the front apron, balanced proportions underlining the BMW M3’s supremacy, M-typical double tailpipes arranged toward the centre of the vehicle.
Intelligent lightweight construction that directly influences the vehicle’s agility and dynamic performance, aluminium engine compartment lid. Side walls made of synthetic material and CFRP roof that optimise weight distribution and centre of gravity, visible CFRP roof construction as an additional design element, emphasis of flat silhouette and high tech character of the vehicle.

UPDATE: This listing was a scam. The folks over at S14.net sniffed it out right away.
Aside from the fact that the seller has no previous ebay sales history, this looks like the real deal. Current bid is over $17k and the auction has a little over a day before completion. Considering the recent pricing of e30 M3 survivors for sale, this would be a deal under $20k, but I’ll bet it goes over. I can’t stop staring at the engine and passenger seats — incredible condition! Where’s one of those junk mail, pre-approved 2nd mortgages when you need one!

While the allroad is in for service at Sunset Audi, they’ve been kind enough to hook me up with a loaner car. This Audi A3 S-Line is a fun little car!

The Good
- The new multi-link rear suspension on the Golf V platform is outstanding! This is probably the biggest appreciable difference between this car and my old GTi 337. Where the 337 would skip around in the rear, the new suspension follows the front and the car really digs in. Once settled in a corner, it’s on rails. Very impressive.
- The all new 2.0t is very strong. I wouldn’t notice any boost onset except for the occassional hunting of the DSG (S-tronic in Audi speak) gearbox.
- That DSG ‘box has 6 gears! The bottom 4 are obviously for making around town blasts a snap. This car is very pleasant to drive 40-80mph.
- The S-Line suspension is very nice. Firm but not jarring, and well balanced.
The Bad
- The tires and brakes are not a good match for the S-Line suspension. It’s very easy to overdrive the brakes especially. I felt a slightly mushy pedal after only 10 minutes of spirited use. And the tires are all season Pirelli’s. Better pads, 18″ rims, and serious summer sport tires would really sharpen up this package.
- The DSG gearbox is more novelty than advancement. If you’re wide open and driving with clear acceleration or deceleration intentions, it does fine. But for mixed in-town driving, it’s a little jerky, especially coming to and from a stop. I’d opt for the manual (which is sadly not even an option if you upgrade to the 3.2 VR6).
- It’s a good thing this is a brand new car because there is cheap plastic everywhere. I’d be curious to see how that holds up over time.
My overall feeling is that this is a nice little car whith a lot of fun built in. But for $30k+, I think it’s about 4k overpriced. A Golf GTi is suddenly a serious bargain considering it will be better appointed and share all the other characteristics of this little car for under $30k.
Nonetheless, a big thank you to Sunset Audi in Beaverton for taking very good care of me while the allroad is being looked over.

If you’ve been waiting for an extensively modified, but tasteful 510, you have 8 days left to make your bid on what has to be one of the better one’s in the country. The list of mods on this car is impressive and thorough.
Personally, I wouldn’t think eBay would be the right place to sell a car like this, but the car is likely known nationally. The 510 market isn’t as hot as that enjoyed by the BMW 2002, but still an icon. I’m guessing this will end up between $10k-$13k. But it’s a stab in the dark, I’ll update when the auction ends.

I always like the selection of 911’s at Victory Motorcars, and this 1987 Carrera is a perfect example. Dark blue over tan leather, and only 75k miles. I would’ve thought a bit optomistic at $20k, but the auction listing is over that already — and the reserve hasn’t been met yet!

1987 Porsche 911 Carrera at Victory Motorcars
UPDATE: Bids went over $22k, no sale, reserve not met. Frankly, I don’t know how much more one could expect to get for this car. At that price, you can consider a 2000 Boxster S, an early 964 with a few more miles, a perfect (and faster) 944 Turbo S, a real nice 968, etc…
